Asia and Australasia

FEMCA and Asia 2026.

FEMCA, the Far East Model Car Association, is the IFMAR bloc for Asia and Australasia and runs its championships as Asia Championships. Two were found for 2026, both finished by 30 October. No FEMCA web page or results page turned up in the research, so every result here rests on Red RC's reports.

FEMCA in brief

Red RC described FEMCA on 19 May 2026 as the governing body for RC racing across 15 nations in Asia and Australasia, whose Asia Championships are open to drivers from anywhere. Wikipedia's member table lists 16 national bodies, so FEMCA's size is given both ways. AARCMCC, Australia's national body, appears in that table as a FEMCA member, not as a separate bloc. No FEMCA rule book or web page was found. More is on IFMAR and the blocs.

1:8 GT Asia Championship: moved from Vietnam to Brisbane

Red RC reported in November 2025 that FEMCA had awarded its first Asia 1:8 GT Nitro Championship, which also catered for electric GT, to the X-RC Complex in Lam Dong, Vietnam, for 17 to 19 July 2026. On 19 May 2026 Red RC reported that the event had moved to England Park Raceway in Australia.

Red RC reported on 3 August 2026 that Jeff Hamon was crowned the first FEMCA 1:8 GT Asia Champion at England Park Raceway, Brisbane. Lockie Roachie (New Zealand) finished second after Russell Grenenger retired from second place about five minutes from the end, and Anthony Wasson came through from 12th on the grid to finish third. This rests on Red RC's report; FEMCA's own results were not read.

1:8 Offroad Asian Championship, Putrajaya

Red RC reported on 31 August 2026 from the Putrajaya Offroad RC Park, south of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where 49 drivers took part.

  • eBuggy: Jayden Edmunds (Australia) won, with Zac Foster (Australia) second.
  • Nitro buggy: the one-hour final of 15 cars was also won by Jayden Edmunds, with Zac Foster second and Ken Ng (Malaysia) third.

Red RC notes that the two-time defending champion, Phi-Long Nguyen, did not compete. A Phi-Long Nguyen was Top Qualifier in Ebuggy at the 2026 ROAR 1/8 Nationals, according to a LiveRC headline of 13 August 2026; no source read says that driver is the FEMCA defending champion, so this site does not say so.

Touring car and nitro on-road

The most recent FEMCA electric touring car championship found, the Asia Touring Car Championship, was held in December 2025 in Foshan, China, where a search summary of Red RC's report says Bruno Coelho retained the title; that is unconfirmed, as the article was not opened. No 2026 edition was found.

For nitro on-road, Red RC reported on 19 May 2026 that FEMCA awarded its 2027 Asia Nitro Onroad Championships, for 1:10 200 mm and 1:8 on-road cars, to England Park Raceway, Brisbane, for 11 to 14 March 2027. No 2026 Asia nitro on-road championship was found.

FEMCA and the 2026 Worlds in Bangkok

IFMAR's release on the 2026 electric touring car (ISTC) World Championship, reposted by LiveRC, says the event moved from Foshan to Bangkok, Thailand, after IFMAR and FEMCA reached agreement with HUGE RC, the Bangkok venue, and a second company named in the release. Open practice is scheduled for 11 November and qualifying and finals for 12 to 14 November 2026, so on 30 October it is still to come. See IFMAR World Championships 2026.

Other racing in Asia, kept apart from FEMCA

The Asian Buggy Championships is a separately run series that no source read describes as a FEMCA event. A search summary of Red RC says its 2026 finale was in Jakarta (4 September 2026), and LiveRC lists a "Round 4 Podiums" article dated 9 September 2026 (headline only). This site therefore does not treat it as a FEMCA Asia Championship or its results as FEMCA's.

Organiser-run races in the region, such as the Thailand International Touring Car Championship (TITC) in Bangkok and the Singapore International Nitro Grand Prix, are on other major races.

What was not found

No FEMCA web page or results page appeared in the research. No 2026 FEMCA 1:12, touring car or nitro on-road Asia Championship result was found, and whether FEMCA held other Asia Championships in 2026 was not established. No AARCMCC results page or 2026 Australian national result was found either. Not found does not mean those events did not take place.
